Certificate Courses offered at the KMTC

Kenya Medical Training College, KMTC is accredited to offer medical courses. Courses offered at KMTC range from certificates to post-basic and above Diplomas.

Each year the university invites qualified candidates to pursue a medical degree.
Upon meeting minimum qualifications, students can enroll at any of our 68 campuses located in various parts of the country.
Diploma course is 3 years, Community Health Nursing is 2 1/2 years, Certificate course is 2 years.

Department of Health Promotion and Community Health          

Community Health Assistant

REQUIREMENTS

KCSE Mean Grade of C-, with D+ in English or Kiswahili, D+ in Biology OR Biological sciences. D in any of the following; Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics or Physical Sciences or Foundation course in Community Health

DURATION: 2 years

 

Health Promotion for the Deaf (CHPD), deaf students only         

REQUIREMENTS

KCSE Mean Grade D+, with D+ in English or Kiswahili or Kenya Sign Language, D in Biology and any one of the following: Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Agriculture, Social Studies or C.R.E/I.R.E

REQUIREMENTS

KCSE Mean Grade D+, with D+ in English or Kiswahili, D- in Mathematics. Working experience of 2 years in a Health Records and Information Department. Recommendation letter from Health Records & Information Officer in charge of the facility & Letter of appointment to the current position
