The Kenyan Government has guaranteed a hundred percent transition from one stage to another when it comes to education. When it comes to transition from high schools to institutions of higher learning, the Kenya University and College Central placement service (KUCCPS) is tasked with the mandate to ensure all those who sit for Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams are guaranteed to advance their skills at higher levels regardless of their grades.
For ease of accessibility, the Kenya University and College Central placement service (KUCCPS) has created an online portal where candidates can apply for admissions to various institutions, browse for courses and their status of their admissions.
How to log in
To log into the KUCCPS online Student’s Portal, on your favourite web browser, enter this URL student.kuccps.net/login or simply click HERE
Be sure to have your KCSE Index Number, Your birth certificate number or KCPE Index Number.
Begin by entering the year your sat for your KCSE. Enter your KCSE Index number in the space provided as the username and for the password, enter either your birth certificate Number or KCPE Index Number.
After logging in, you may browse for all available programmes and their minimim grade requirements by navigating to the Programmes section of the page.
All your interested programmes will be moved to the Course Basket for easier selection. After picking the right one, note down its code as you will need it.
To apply, go to the Application or Revision area then enter the Programme Code of the course you had selected earlier.
Pay an application fee of Ksh.1,500 if you are applying it for the first time. Then your course application will have been completed. The students revising their choices submitted in school will have to path ways with Ksh1,000.
How to Pay for KUCCPS Application fee using MPesa
(Using *334# or MPesa Toolkit, My Safaricom or MPesa App)
1. On your MPesa Menu, select Lipa Na Mpesa.
2. On the second Menu, select Pay Bill
3. Enter Business Number 820201
4. Enter your KCSE Year and KCSE Index Number (no spaces in between) as your Account Number
5. Input your M-PESA PIN and Send
Do not do away with the transaction code as you may need it later on.
