The Ministry of Education Cabinet Secretary Professor George Magoha has guaranteed a 100% transition from primary schools to secondary schools. He announced this as he was delivering the 2020 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
Magoha additionally asked the Kenya University and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) to open their entrance for the KCSE 2020 candidates to apply and change their courses. All the candidates who scored a C+(plus) or more will qualify for a degree program in university or a college. The cutoff time for the applications was on eleventh of June implying that it has effectively been shut. As at now, KUCCPS is assessing the decisions the students made and setting them to be placed in various higher institutions of learning.
