To beat his own set timeline, the Education Cabinet Secretary Professor George Magoha will be set to release the much anticipated 2020 KCSE results later in the day. He stated that the examinations were to be released before the 10th of May this year even before the marking process gad began.

Despite allegations that the results were to be released on Friday, Magoha thrashed the rumours and said that the marking had been completed but the results were yet to be released.
The 2020 KCSE results saw 752,891 candidates register for the exams but only 699,745 candidates turned up for the exams in the 10,287 exam centres.
The exams was marked within a short period of time which did not exceed two weeks. Over 26,500 teachers participated in the marking exercise in the 28 examinations centres.
To get the 2020 results, one can use the following methods;
VIA THE KNEC ONLINE PORTAL
This method will require you to have access to the internet. To check your KCSE 2020 results you must have your index number.
Follow the following steps;
1. On your web browser, enter this adress knec.ac.ke or by simply clicking HERE
2. You will then be redirected to the KNEC official website. Navigate and select the results section then select the year you sat for your KCSE exams
3. You will be prompted to enter your index number then select the submit button.
4. Your results will then be displayed
VIA SMS
The SMS method is the easiest and fastest method to use as it gives you the results instantly. One is required to send an SMS to 20076 with your index number and then wait for your results to be sent to you.
However, the method is expensive as it costs Ksh.25 and it is available for all the Network Service providers; Telkom, Safaricom and Airtel. You should not send the message before it is said so as it will result to a waste of money.
