KMTC Bondo Campus; Courses Offered, Location, Fee structure

KMTC Bondo Campus Background Information & Location:

Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) Bondo Campus was established in March, 2012. It was an initiative of the KMTC Board of Directors that was supported by the community, led by Hon. Gideon Ochanda who was the then Board Member of Parliament. It was then funded by the National Government under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).

KMTC Bondo Campus was initially located at the former Masita Technical Training Center grounds where it was offering Certificate in Health Records and Information Technology. Demand for clinical courses went up, something that forced the Sub County Health Committee to set aside another site for the college. The current campus is located in Bondo town near Bondo Sub county Hospital in Bondo Sub county, Siaya county along the Bondo- Siaya road. The institution currently has a student population of about 600 students.

KMTC Bondo Campus Facilities:

They include a well-stocked library, administration block, a fully equipped computer lab and skills lab, hostels and modern classrooms.

KMTC Bondo Campus Clinical Experience Sites:

The main clinical experience site used by the students here is Bondo Sub County Hospital. However, other clinical sites include Got Agulu, Yala, Kombewa, Ruambwa Usigu, Ukwala, Ambira and Madiany Sub County Hospitals.

Students use the Vihiga, Kakamega, Busia, Bungoma, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga (Kisumu County) and Siaya County Teaching and Referral Hospitals for specialized placement.
