KNEC Extends Deadline For Uploading Scores of CBC Learners

The time frame for recording students’ assessment results on its web portal has been extended by the Kenya National Examinations Council (Knec).

At first, Knec had given schools till October 26th to upload the student test results to its website.

However, the bulk of schools had not finished submitting their results by yesterday’s closure of business.

A few days ago, the site experienced problems that hindered the uploading of scores. Teachers had complained, and the anomaly has been fixed up until this point.

Due to these problems, the Council decided to give the other schools more time to finish uploading their results.

Through theory tests, the students in Grades 3, 4, 5, and 7 finished their national assessment.

The students completed their projects and practicals during the second term, which ran from June 6 to August 10.

Public and private schools have until August 11, 2023, to turn in their practical and project work by submitting the students’ grades for Grades 3, 4, 5, and 7 to Knec’s platform.

Knec has published guidelines for student assessments and given schools access to assessment materials that they had to download and use.

The Grade 3 students completed Integrated Learning Assessments (ILAs) through projects and practicals. This evaluation covered every subject covered in Grade 3.

For seven courses, grade 4 and 5 completed projects and practicals. Agriculture, Home Science, Science and Technology, Music, Art and Craft, Social Studies, and Physical Education were among them.

Students in grade 7 underwent assessments in both required and elective areas. Knec provided a list of fifteen subjects that were given verbally.

Because they are getting ready for their final exam, the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA), which will take place concurrently with KCPE from October 30 to November 1, grade 6 students were not examined.
