About KUCCPS
The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) is the government body that researches and offer career guidance for students and selects their admissions to various universities, national polytechnics, technical training institutes and other institutes of higher learning for government sponsored educational programmes.
Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service was initiated by the Universities Act of 2012.
Its Vision is to offer candidates an fair, equitable and efficient placement services for them to study marketable courses.
The selection state corporation nurtures careers by offering advisory services and placing the students to the correct educational and training Institutes.
FUNCTIONS OF KUCCPS
1. To coordinate the placement of government sponsored students to universities and colleges
2. To build and implement career guidance programmes
3. To offer information on available programmes
4. To research and keep data relating to university and college placement
CURRENT LEADERSHIP
Mr. Joe Ager Board Chairman. He was appointed as the Chairman of the Placement Board in July 2018.
Mrs. Agnes Mercy Wahome Chief Executive Officer. She is also the Board Secretary.
Professor Mwenda Ntarangwi – Chief Executive Officer, Common University Education (CUE)
Mr. Charles Ringera –He is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Higher Education Loans Board.
Mr. Patrick M. Kingoina is Kenya Association of Technical Training Institutions representative. He is the Principal at the Coast Institute of Technology.
Dr. Kipkirui Langat – He is the Director General TVETA (Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority)
Prof. Francis Aduol is the Public Universities representative. He is the Vice-Chancellor (VC) of the Technical University of Kenya (TUK).
Prof. Geoffrey M. Muluvi is the Public Universities representative. He is the Vice Chancellor at South Eastern Kenya University.
Prof. Mumo Kisau is the Private Universities representative Prof Kisau is the Vice Chancellor (VC) of Scott University.
Prof. Margaret Muthwii is the Private Universities representative. She is the Vice-Chancellor (VC) of the Pan Africa Christian University.
Mrs. Glory K. Mutungi is the representative of the Kenya Association of Technical Training Institutions (KATTI). She is the principal of Nairobi Technical Training Institute.
Mr. Anthony Muriu – Alternate Permanent Secretary in the National Treasury. He is the Head of the Central Planning and Project Monitoring Unit of the National Treasury and also aChief Economist.
Ambassador Simon Nabukwesi Ministry of Education Representative. He is the PS in the State Department forUniversity Education and Research
